The Doncaster Energy from Waste (DEW) project is a major private initiative
to revolutionalise the way that we process waste in the UK. Taking
waste from households and commercial/retail operations
throughout the region, it will divert from landfill sites and
process the waste to deliver green energy and recycled
materials for everyday use.
The proposal is a partnership between regional regeneration
experts Waystone Ltd, AvVail Ltd that boasts world class
research and development techniques, and a major
UK energy provider.
The partnership is proposing to deliver
this world leading facility adjacent to
the working colliery in Stainforth,
Hatfield and Dunscroft, putting
Doncaster on the map for the most
environmentally friendly energy
from waste. |
